Really Happy With Mac

The Hardware is super, the Mac Book Pro 17″ is really great and I’m really satified, but also the Operating System is fantastic and a lot of small things (utilities, programs, widgets) make me every day happier.ù
Just some examples.
I love Itunes, the version 7 has also inside the functionality called “Cover Flow”: “With Cover Flow, you can flip through your digital music and video collection just as you would CDs.” they said, but for me it’s even better to browse here the covers compared to do it with the real one CDs.
I’ve installed also a great widget, it’s called “Sing that iTune!” and it just automatically downloads the lyrics of the song that you’re playing in itunes… Then u can decide to save it on disk or on itunes…
I was surprised then after a sync with my Ipod… All the lyrics were also there!

What else? I love Chicken of the VNC, a good VNC client, VLC is a good movies player (all formats supported) with also the capability to load subtitles…
Cyberduck is a really good and intuitive ftp/sftp visual client, and one week ago they fixed some annoing bugs, now it’s really working well.

Ah, always about mp3 and Itunes, I was very happy to find out IEatBrainz, the mac os x client version of the musicbrainz project (an automatic tagger for mp3). It works well, even better, cos u can choose more alternative for the matching songs.

Eclipse works well, as IntelliJ Idea, all very fast and without any kind of problems, always concerning development tools to install mysql and tomcat was really easy. Mac provides also a good page for the Java Developers (and not only!). Jedit as well is fast here, also DbVisualizer (was awful on my old asus m6n) now is fast.

Adiumn is a nice IM all in one client, NeoOffice is the OpenOffice port to the mac platform, another good product.

Skype is at the version 2.0 beta for Mac, so now I can also videocall my friends with the integrated iSight webcam. For VOIP I use SJPhone, I still didn’t tried it but to configure it (for 2 accounts) was as always with mac programs easy and fast.

I was sending a bug report for the good tool for MAC Os X Cyberduck just one week ago for some strange crashes, and they already fixed it! It’s ql no?

Ah yes, I’m a Mac User now, and I’m very very happy with it, I’ve a super fantastic Mac Book Pro 2,16, with 2Gb of Ram and the 17″ Display.

It’s incredible fast and usable I simply love it!!!
